We spent most of last week celebrating Halloween. We started off the Friday before by visiting the pumpkin patch. Dave really wanted to join us so we waited until he got off work(they are super busy at work and Dave has work every Saturday this past month and has been staying late every weeknight).
The pumpkin patch had a small hay maze for the younger kids and a few games for them to play.
And here is Brady once again trying his hardest not to smile while I was taking the picture.
Monday started red ribbon week and Nathan loved participating in all the themed days. His favorite of course was pajama day on wednesday. Not sure why but he was super excited to get to wear his pajamas all day.
Tuesday was crazy hair day
Tuesday night was also Our ward Trunk or Treat/Halloween party at the church. We enjoyed hot dogs, nacho's and some carnival games.
My handsome Ninja and Cowboy!

One family went all out and played music with flashing lights. The Boys loved it. Nathan just wanted to hang out and dance.
Wednesday I carved pumpkins with the boys, which in reality meant I cleaned out and carved two pumpkins. Nathan did decide on the type of face he wanted carved and helped make a few of the cuts.
Thursday was the Halloween costume parade and Carnival at Nathan's school. Friday all the kids had the day off from school because it was a teacher work day.
Nathan really got into the "marching".

Spent all day Friday waiting to go trick or treating only for it to start pouring at around 4:30 and it never stopped. It's hard to complain about bad weather, when we are so desperate for rain here. So we happily just continued on with our Halloween plans. We were invited to a friends for a Halloween party. And enjoyed dinner and hanging out with friends. Then once the kids were ready we headed out into the rain for trick or treating. the kids had fun but boy were we soaked by the time we got back.
I found these fun glow sticks for them to take trick or treating. Brady got a gun and Nathan a sword.

Wild Water Adventure
It has been hot this past week! And what better way to cool off then spending time at a water park. This time we drove all the way to Wild Water Adventure in Clovis. It is about 20min past the one we went to in Fresno but definitely worth the extra drive. There were a lot more for the kids to do with 4/5 young kid friendly areas including a wave pool and slides. At first Nathan didn't want to go on any of the slides but after about an hour he realized that the slides were fun and ended up trying out all of them. Brady was more interested in just playing in the water or on the pirate ship, and eating. That kid is a bottomless pit when it comes to food. I didn't take very many pictures because I sometimes I feel like I miss out on really enjoying our time when I am only focused on getting pictures. I did pull out my phone towards the end of the day and snapped a few shots of the boys.
Brady sitting down once again for more snacks. I don't know what I was thinking but I didn't pack any snacks. I figured they would be good with lunch and playing in the water. One gentlemen heard the boys asking for snacks and came over with a whole container of snacks for the boys. I was a little embarrassed about how unprepared it made me look but was grateful for the kind gesture.
Here I was asking Brady to smile for me. and this is the new response I get now when I ask to take a picture. Usually he says "no" and then refuses to look at me or smile. I love how you can tell in this picture that he is trying really hard not to smile. Little Stinker!
Just hanging out in the water.
Nathan having fun in one of the play areas.
He really enjoyed this rope course.

2 years old
It is hard to believe that it has already been two years since Brady was born. Sometimes I still feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing him home from the Hospital. We celebrated his birthday on the 21st with my parents. He opened some presents and then we had ice cream cake.
I have never really understood the phrase the terrible twos until now. Not only does he fight taking any naps but he is constantly throwing tantrums all day. I spent all day trying to get a happy picture for his birthday, but with one battle after another all day I finally took this picture at 7pm. Ha ha, It must be so difficult to be 2 and not always get everything you want.
Once Papa and Grandma arrived he started warming up a little and by the time I brought the cake out he was all smiles.
This little boy is all personality. He still loves to tease Nathan. They spend a lot of time wrestling with each other laughing and having fun until one of them gets hurt. Brady loves the outdoors and when it isn't too hot you can find us in the backyard. He also loves puzzles and likes having books read to him. He can be really stubborn and is great at finding solutions to his problems. We sure love all that he adds to our family.

First day of School
Nathan started his first day of Kindergarten on Thursday August 14th. He was ready and excited for school to start. The first week and a half the kindergarteners got out at 12:10. I think mostly just to get them use to go to school everyday. This week they started on their regular schedule which has him in school until 1:30. I was actually pretty excited to learn that the kindergarteners get out 1 hour earlier then everyone else. Brady has been enjoying our very short walk to go pick up Nathan everyday since the elementary school is right next to our court. the other bonus for living so close is that I don't have to get up early to get him ready on time. With school starting at 7:55 we can basically walk out the front door just after 7:50 and slowly walk to where he lines up for class.
Brady had to be a part of the picture too!
All set and ready to go!
In line waiting for his teacher Mrs. Torres to walk them to class.
Brady anxiously waiting for them to open the gates so we can pick up Nathan. He sure missed Nathan that first day.
So far Nathan seems to be enjoying school and assures me that he already has 3 friends, haha! They play soccer during recess and that is about as much information as I can get him to share. I have a feeling that I have 13 more years of him not wanting to answer my questions about school.
