First Haircut
I finally took Nathan in for his first haircut. I loved his hair long, but it had just become unmanageable. no matter how a brushed it looked like he had just rolled out of bed. He was a little nervous when the smock was put on, but then completely lost it once she started to cut his hair. so I held his hand and he cried the whole time , but she did manage to do a pretty good job anyways.

Final product, although he is still pretty unhappy in this picture.

Ten for the week
1.Last Wednesday morning I headed down to Utah with Nathan so I could join up with my SIL for the Backstreet Boys concert in SLC.
2. Nathan did pretty good on the way down( I did take a 45 min break so we could eat lunch and get some gas.) With him finally facing forwards I decided to try out the DVD player. His attention span wasn't very long but I think it did help. I put in the Lion king first and he started laughing at the hiennas (not sure about finding the bad guys funny?) Then he watched toy story, he seemed to watch this one for a longer stretch of time.
3. I got to Jeremy's around 2:30 and we visited for a while before headed over to Cameo's parents home so we could be closer to Salt lake. Nathan's attempt to play with Logan, usually involved taking away whatever toy Logan was playing with, good thing Logan was to young to really care. Jeremy was nice enough to watch Nathan for that night.
4. Before the Concert Cameo, her sister and I went to Cafe Rio for dinner, yummy!!
5. Then it was time for the concert. And it was so worth all the waiting. We started with some great seats on the floor about 13 rows back, but ended up moving about four rows up in the middle. All the dancing and screaming brought back all the great memories from my college years. We had so much fun !! They are still great to see live.
6. Thursday I drove back to Rexburg. Nathan had finally had enough about 1 hr away and even after I tried stopping for a break he still cried the rest of the way home :( I think he was just so tired from staying away from home and the long drives in the car.
7. Saturday We finally took the boat out for the first time this summer. yeah for hot weather! At first Nathan was very nervous and the life jacket really threw him off balance. He wouldn't let me let go of him. We stopped for a little and let him play on the swim platform and after that he seemed a lot more comfortable and even started trying to move around.
8. Tuesday I was finally able to take Nathan to the Rexburg splash park. He was very scared at first and wouldn't let go of my hand but eventually he wanted to explore. His favorite spot was standing at the end of the water slides and letting the water splash over him every time a kid came down. He was so excited about this, that he even let go of my hands to take a few steps on his own ( I guess I wasn't moving fast enough).
9. He was so tired after the park that he fell asleep as soon as he was strapped in the car seat. And didn't wake up when I moved him to his crib.
10. I sure am excited about the summer!!!
