Ten on Tuesday

1. Dave spent his evenings last week installing a goose neck hitch in the truck. We wanted to be able to pull Cindy's horse trailer for our ride on saturday. It was harder than he expected, so in order to get it done on time he stayed outside working on his truck until 10:00 friday night.

2.As you already know I purchased my first horse thursday. Millie is now staying at Brad and Jolene's until we get back from our vacation in September. Jolene is helping get everything I need to keep her healthy and will help me train her also!

3.Spent some time Saturday morning brushing Millie. She practically fell asleep while I was brushing her mane. I think it has been a long time since she has had that kind of attention.

4. Went on a great horseback ride all day saturday. I rode Miss and plan to continue working with her. I hope to gain enough trust from her that she allows me near her baby next spring. I also decide that I really need to buy a pair of riding boots. So Saturday morning I was able to find some Ariats that I liked at a local store. They are cute and comfortable to ride with.

5. Stopped at Texas Roadhouse on house on the way home for dinner. our waitress wasn't very good, but I still enjoyed the food. Then we soaked on Brad and Jolene's spa before heading home to bed.

6.Dave woke up in the middle of the night very sick. I don't think he will want Texas Roadhouse for a while. He spent all day sunday recovering. Luckily for me, I didn't get sick so it must have been from the food he ate.

7. Went over to Jesse and Lousia's for dinner Sunday night. It was very nice to have a break from cooking sunday dinner.

8. Decided to test Frodo today , so I left him outside his kennel while I ran a few errands in town. I was very happy to find him still in the backyard when I got home. Maybe I'll start trusting him again.

9.Spent most of the morning doing a quick clean up of the house. It looks a little better. now I just need to finish the filing.

10. Now I am getting ready to head over to Jolene's and work on Millie!

Trail Ride

Saturday we had a lot of fun riding in the back country. Brad and Jolene took us to the area where Brad usually hunts. I also invited Cindy from work and we invited Daniel. I love going on rides with Brad and Jolene because they don't just follow the trails. We made our own paths, crossed creeks, and just enjoyed the beauty of the woods.
Miss and I ready to get started
Dave and Barney

Barney was so good on the ride. If the other horses wold refuse to cross a stream, Dave would just have to come forward with Barney and he would walk right across.

Millie

A Family we know here asked Dave on Wednesday if we wanted to buy one of their horses at a very low price. Dave asked me if I was interested, like I was ever going to say no. So Thursday I went and pulled out a little cash that I had saved up and was the owner of a Beautiful black mare. Her name is Millennium (we just call her Millie). She is a registered Tennessee Walker. Which means she is a gaited horse(just means that she has other gaits besides the trot and lope). Tennesses are suppose to have a really smooth gaited trot. She is around 5 years old. Unfortunately her old family has not been able to afford her care for the past year and is a little neglected. I hope to get her 100% healthy in the next month. She needs her hooves worked on, some meat on her body, and a bath.

For those of you who have known me I have talked about owning horses since high school, so I am pretty excited!!

I also plan on purchasing Miss's baby in the spring. I will get the opportunity to train him from the time he is born. I am very excited to learn.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Last tuesday night I went over to Jolene's to work with Miss. This time Jo gave me a lesson on riding. It was a lot of fun, but I was sure sore afterwards.

2. Had to stay at work until 7:00 Thursday night, yuck! It was awful because one of the doctors was in a bad mood and pretty much took it out on me all afternoon! I had a breakdown that night at home, which Dave didn't appreciate. He said that I don't get paid enough for him to deal with my crying. Since then all of the techs have been giving the doctor a bad time about being so moody. I'm over it now and just hope it was a one time experience!

3. I was originally planning and making dinner for Dennis, Daniel, Heather, and Jeffery thursday but after the realized I wouldn't be home until close to 8 they went and got some pizzas for us. I was very relieved.

4. left work early friday to leave for Bear Lake. Stopped in Afton at Heggs Hills for Dinner. It is one of Dave's favorite places to eat on his route. It was yummy!!

5.Arrived in Montpelier around 10:30 and stayed in a motel for the night so we would just be 20mins away from the lake.

6. Got up early Saturday so we could eat breakfast and get some supplies at the grocery store for our day at the lake. Meet up with Jeremy and Cameo at 9. It was a bit chilly that early so most of us girls wore sweaters all morning, but the water was like glass. perfect for some wakeboarding.

7.After a full day we went into garden city for their famous shakes. yum!!

8. Dave and I were exhausted by the time we got home saturday night. Luckily we had Sunday to sleep and recover.

9. found out that a good friend of mine is moving back to Montana, which means she will only be 3 hrs away! Maybe we will actually get to see each other occasionally.

10. Spent all morning waiting for the sears repairman to come and fix the dryer, only to find out that the only reason my clothes aren't drying is because the vent to the outside is plugged. When they built the house for some reason the directed the vent out to the roof. Its not ideal because it can easily become plugged. So I went down to the store to buy a vent cleaning system, hopefully Dave will have it cleaned out soon.

Bear Lake

We had a great time Saturday at Bear Lake. Jeremy and Cameo came up from Utah with their friends Laura and Dave. Dave and I brought along Daniel and Heather. I really love that lake the water is gorgeous! turquoise and clear. The water was smooth enough for us to spend the morning wake boarding. Then after lunch we got around to surfing!!

Ten on Tuesday

1. our cat Tevi has been fighting a very bad bladder infection the past couple months. It has become very frustrating because even after being on antibiotics for the past 6 weeks it comes back every time we stop. Two weeks ago I took her in to take xrays and it showed a very inflamed mottled bladder. Last week I finally got some results back from the lab on her urine that reported what antibiotics could be used to treat the bacteria. So once again I have switched her treatment to a different antibiotic, plus some steroids to help take down the inflammation. I just hope that this makes her better long term.

2. This weekend I left with a couple other techs from work to go to a continuing Ed conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. One of the Doctor's I work for is the President of the Idaho Veterinary Medical Association and was in charge of this years meeting. He was able to set op some classes for techs and paid for us all to go.

3. We left saturday at 3:00pm. I volunteered to drive because I was the only one with a reliable car. following Dave's advice I didn't get directions for the location because we assumed that Lindsay or Cindy knew how to get there. Lindsay programmed the destination imto her phone, but it didn't work well. And some how We missed our turn in Arco, which no one realized until we had reached Challis(about 2 hrs after where we were suppose to turn). I didn't know any better since I was not familiar with where I was suppose to be driving. We all about had heart attacks once we found a sign that said Sun Valley 117 miles and we had already been on the road for 3hrs. the trip was only suppose to take 3 hrs. That is when Lindsay asked if we had ever passed the craters of the moon and I said no I just went straight like I was told. oops! so after 2 hrs and windy mountain roads we finally made it Sun Valley. 5 hrs was much to long when you are expect 2 1/2.

4.So now the running joke is " just keep going straight". It made for a very long drive!!! But I did get to see the Sawtooth mountains. As Lindsay likes to say "....its all about the journey...not the destination!!! "
After Checking into our lodge we found a restaurant that was still open and finally ate at around 10:00pm. we were starving and tired.

5. Woke up early sunday to check in and start classes at 8:00 am. We had a class and wet lab on Dentals and then a few classes on critical care. We got some dinner at around 6:00pm and then started our drive home.

6.Luckily this time we did not get lost, it took just over 2 1/2 hrs to get back to Idaho Falls. We were all exhausted from the weekend. Yesterday I felt like I could have slept all day. I am just glad I had today to sleep in and recover a little!

7. On saturday Dave went on a Horseback ride with Brad and Jolene. Lucky him!

8. Have been enjoying the Olympics the few chances I have had to watched and was very excited the see the Americans with Phelps win the relay Sunday night.

9. Dave finally took his truck in to be looked at. It has been having a hard time starting since that day at the Lake it wouldn't start. Luckily they were able to find the problem and have it fixed today. I was getting worried about our trip to bear lake, but no problems we will have a truck to pull the boat!

10. I have once again run out of books to read. Any suggestions?

Ten on Tuesday

1. Friday Dennis, Jan, and Jeffery arrived to visit Daniel and Heather. They delivered a new van for Daniel to use on his FedEx route. The old van spent most of its time in the shop. We went out to dinner with them Friday night.

2. Saturday all the guys came over to work on the FedEx vans to get them ready for work the next week, so Jan, Heather, and I left to do a little shopping in Idaho Falls. I only had one goal in mind, Barnes and Noble. I was very excited to final get my hands on a copy of Breaking Dawn.

3. We stop at TGIFridays for lunch. It took them over an hour to give us our lunches. The manager came over and apologized about the delay, but they had dropped my meal on the floor and had to remake it. They were nice enough to give us two deserts at no charge, yum!

4. After returning to Rexburg, We all went out to the Sand dunes to check them out. None of us had ever been out to them and since they are so well known we thought we should see what it was all about. Dave is excited to take a dirt bike out there for a ride.

5. We had some BBQ tritip for dinner and enjoyed our visit with the Dickson's.

6. I started Breaking Dawn Late Saturday night, just enough to regret having to go to bed. Dave thought it would be fun on Sunday to keep me too busy to read my book. So after church we watched Ocean's thirteen. I really had to pay attention to keep up with the story but it was very entertaining. After I finished with dinner I got right back to the book, so of course Dave had to complain about being ignored. But don't feel too bad, he normal watches Ice road truckers, which I dislike so I never hangout with him during that show anyways.

7.I had to take my car into the dealership on monday for a couple of safety recalls. It was an all day project to replace some fuel lines and heat shield.

8. Sometimes I wish that my tuesdays off would feel more like a day off. I always have so much to do that I can never just relax. Somehow I managed to read a little between errands/jobs and I final finished the book. I won't say much, because I don't want to ruin it for any who hasn't had the chance to read it yet, but I loved it!!!

9. I did a good washing of the boat this morning, it really needed a good cleaning it was filthy.

10. Spent some time today with Jolene teaching me more about training. I had a good time working with Miss again. She is a sweetie.
