Perfect weather

We have been having really nice weather here. So nice that one morning a couple weeks ago a friend called and asked if I wanted to join her at the beach. So we packed picnic lunch and spend the afternoon playing in the hot sun. It was Brady's first time at the beach and he loved it.

Countdown

There is excitement in our house right now. Okay so it may mostly be me but we are leaving for a Disneyland vacation in just a few weeks from now. I love Disneyland! And I can't wait to see Nathan's reactions to Mickey and all the other characters he loves so much. Seriously Kids make everything better! He always tells me that at Disneyland he is going to meet Mickey, Donald, McQueen, and the Princesses. Yup that's right what he really wants to do is flirt with all the Princesses.
I decided that we needed a countdown chain to help Nathan be excited about the going. I found a mickey mouse themed chain on Pinterest and finally took the time to sit down a make it yesterday. It took a little more time then I planned but I love how it turned out.

To make this I started with 4 different colors of construction paper. White, Black, Red, and Yellow. Inside each of the white links there is a Disney related activity. Such as watch a Disney movie, have Mickey mouse pancakes, etc. Then I made mouse ears to add to the black links, and white buttons for the red. Then stapled them all together to get this adorable chain.
Nathan was so excited with the finished chain and just had to have his picture taken with it:

Easter weekend fun!

Saturday we headed over to Grandma Dickson's for the annual Easter egg hunt and BBQ. We always have a great time. Nathan had been talking all week about putting candy in the eggs and hiding them.

Sunday my sister's family and my aunt Margaret's family came to my parents house for dinner and another Easter egg hunt. Nathan as always had a blast with his cousins, especially when the older boys(Nicholas and Daniel) joined them in a ball throwing fight in the hallway.
