Ten for the week

1. Left for California on friday the 13th. Our original plan was to just bring the puppy along, but Barney and Frodo were so pathetic about us packing up we decided to bring them too.
We stopped in Wells, Nevada for the night and arrived in Hollister at around 6:00 on Saturday. They dogs were great in the car and all of them pretty much slept the whole time.

2. The Dogs loved the warm weather. Even Chief who usually spends as little time as possible outside here, would spend hours lounging out in the sun and on the grass. My parents have a dog door and the dogs loved the freedom to come in and out as they wanted.

3. Sunday we had dinner with Dave's family and celebrated Randalynn's and my birthday.

4. Monday night we went up to Concord with my parents to join Kerri and Adam for a birthday dinner at Claim Jumpers. The food was good and the dessert was yummy!!

5.Dave and I went up to my sister's work on Wednesday, so that I could show them how to to nerve blocks for dental extractions. I was nervous because I always worry about showing new things to others, especially veterinarians. I always have a hard time explaining things, good thing I'm not a teacher.

6. Kerri was able to join Dave and I for lunch, so we went to Red Robin. yummy! Kerri's work was very nice and paid for our meal.

7. Saturday My Mom and Dave's Mom put on a baby shower for me. It was great to be able to see so many people and its nice to finally have a start on all the baby stuff we need.

8. Kerri and Adam were able to come down for the weekend. And Aidan was so cute. every time he saw the dogs he would squeal in delight. unfortunately I didn't get any pictures( you can check Kerri's blog, she posted some great ones!).

9. Dave and I left for Idaho Saturday afternoon and were able to make all the way to Wells that night. So we only had 4 more hours the next day. It was nice to get back with some time to relax before going back to work.

10. I had another doctors appointment today, and so far every thing is going well. I had my glucose tolerance test today and passed! I was a little nervous because Kerri had some problems with hers, and I really didn't want to do any more test. My veins are not easy to poke so I always dread blood draws.

Ten for the week

1. Dave and I left for Utah friday night after work. We got to my grandparents house in Provo at around 11:00. I was surprised to still see them up. They weren't waiting up for us though, the Jazz were playing!

2. Had breakfast with them in the morning and then Dave left for the boat show in Sandy to check out all the new boats and search for some items we have been needing.

3.I had a great time spending most of the day visiting with family. Grandma made a few calls and all of a sudden there was a whole group of people that stopped by to visit. My Cousin Lisa and her kids, Debra and Gary, Lanae and Todd, and Alise.

4. After Dave was done with the show, we went and visited with my friend Kristin and her family. Her little girl is so cute!! It has been forever since we have been able to hang out.

5. We ended up going to Macaroni grill for dinner with Kristin and Dave, and Jeremy and Cameo. I liked the food but I think Dave was a little disappointed. The service was terrible!

6. We got back to Rexburg around midnight on Saturday. I was so tired Sunday I don't think the nap even helped.

7. It is Dental month at work and since there is a discount on dental cleanings we have had a lot to do this past week. Yesterday I think I did six dentals, although most of them were on cats so they really only took 10 min each.

8.I have spent all of today getting ready for our week long trip to California! yeah, I am so ready for a break from the snow.

9.Dave says that my belly has been growing a lot each day, I have to admit that if I stand straight up I can no longer see my own toes!

10. I find it hard to get comfortable at night and fall asleep. every book/person suggest laying on your left side, but I always wake up sore!

Three years!

Yesterday I was surprised when these were delivered to me at work:

They are so beautiful! Dave sent them for our Anniversary. For someone who generally doesn't like to be the center of attention, I must admit it felt wonderful yesterday!
The past three years have really flown by. Its hard to remember what life was like without Dave. It really seems like we have always been together.

Ten for the week

1. Chief got kennel cough from puppy class two Wednesdays ago. I thought it was just minor until he woke up Wednesday morning with a fever, cough, and snotty nose. I started him on antibiotics that night after work and now he is doing much better.

2. Two days ago Barney started showing symptoms too! Luckily I found some antibiotics I never used on Tevi so he is already doing better!

3.One morning last week it got down to lower then -20 degrees and by the time I left for work at 7:00 am that morning the gage was only at -18. With the wind chill it was cold enough that all the schools in the area were canceled for the day.

4. I thought it was funny today when Chief tried to play with Piper. Of course she never feels as if she should move away so she gave him a few warning swats and then layed down in the middle of the room. He just stared at her not sure of what he should be doing.

5. Yesterday Dave and I went to Home Depot to get a few items to start getting the baby's room ready. After we paint it Dave wants to put in new base boards and outlets. He is also planning on installing a ceiling fan.

6. Since we were already buying some home improvement supplies I decided it was time to take down the strip of wall paper in the bathroom and the floral light switch plates.

7. We have been using our fireplace all week. It is amazing how much better it heats the house then the baseboard heaters. The house is actually still warm in the morning when we get up.

8. Piper loves the fire, whenever we have one going she lays as close to the stove as she can.

9. It was nice to have another three day weekend this week. I love sleeping in on Fridays with nothing really pressing to do.

10. sometimes it is really hard to think of ten things!
