Ten on Tuesday

1. Chief is now a year old. He has gotten so big. And from the picture below I think Barney has accepted him as part of the family.
3. A couple of saturdays ago we went with some friends to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. We enjoyed some fair food and then checked out the animals and other booths.
4. We also watched the hypnotised show, which was very entertaining! Nathan was having one of his days where he didn't want to be put down so I spent most of the time carrying him.
5. Tevi has taken a liking to Nathan. Which is pretty surprising since she is the one that normal hides from all children. But every time I am feeding or holding him she tries to lay as close to him as she can. Last night she even decided to lay next to him without me and loved it every time he tried to touch her head. He even grabbed her ear and she just leaned in closer.

6. It's already acting like it is fall around here, boo! The summer wasn't long enough this year.
7. It was warm enough on saturday for Dave to take the boat out with a group of friends. They had a good time even though the water was pretty cold.
8.I met them later at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was yummy as always!
9. Barney got out of the yard twice in the past few days. luckily he has come home both times on his own without any injuries.
10. Have a great week!

4 months old

Today was Nathan's 4 month doctors appointment. He is growing so fast and now is talking to everyone. He sometimes gets pretty clingy and only wants me to hold him. He has been drooling alot and sucking on his fist. I can't believe he is already old enough to be teething.
His stats:
Weight: 13 lbs (14%)
height: 25.3 in (63%)

Ten on Tuesday

1. I know it has been a while again. I still am finding it hard to sit down and type one of these post up.

2. We have been trying to get in as much boating as we can before the weather is too cold. A few weeks ago we went and tried a different lake. We had a lot of fun at Palisades. I loved how big it was. I think next year we will go there more often.

3. Last weekend I went to a baby shower for a friend, so Dave took all the Dads out on the boat. We had a good time at the shower and I'm sure the guys enjoyed the boating.

4.Had a dentist appointment a couple weeks ago and I was disappointed to discover I had cavity. I never get cavities. I am scheduled to get it filled in october. Without dental insurance I need to space the procedures out.

5. I mowed the lawn last week and had Nathan ride with me for a little while. At first the loud noise scared him but eventually he fell asleep to the hum of the engine.

6. We drove to Bear lake friday night and stayed at a friends condo. Nathan traveled really well and even slept through the night even though I kept him up later then usual.

7. Saturday morning we went boating bear lake, unfortunately it was overcast and cold outside so after a couple hrs everyone had enough and we left for home. Kind of a waste of a trip but we weren't really having any fun trying to stay warm.

8. They finally released Dave and me from the library. Dave is now the 11 year old scout leader and they called me to teach the CTR 8 class. So sunday I taught my class for the first time. I don't know why but I always struggle to teach for the full 40-50 minutes they give us.

9. Yesterday after deciding the weather wasn't good enough to go boating a group of Friends decided to spend the day at Jackson hole Wyoming. We ate lunch at a park and then went to the rec center where they have a great kid swimming pool and water slide.

10. Then we went to Bubba's BBQ for dinner and downtown for shakes and a little exploring. It was fun to get out and do stuff we have never done before. We were all very tired by the end of the day.

My New Ride

So Dave finally convinced me that I needed a better vehicle for winter driving here in Idaho. It has been a couple years now. So I reluctantly agreed that we should get rid of my beloved passat and get a car that was 4 wheel drive, especially since I will be driving around with Nathan with all the crazy drivers this winter.

So thursday I said goodbye to the best car I have ever owned. Oh I will miss my pretty blue car.

I will miss how great she was to drive and the great gas mileage I got commuting to work. I won't miss getting stuck in the driveway after a heavy snow storm and needing Dave to pull the car out with his truck.

Now I get to drive this 2001 Yukon XL.

now there will be room for the car seat and all the dogs, which will be nice for road trips to California. It can also pull the boat which means more people can ride with us to the lake!
The best thing is that we were able to get it without having a payment, yeah!
