Memorial Day Weekend.

This year we spent Memorial Weekend at the cabin with family.  This weekend is the kick off for the summer. The idea is that Saturday is spent getting work done around the cabin to have it ready for the summer and then go an play on Monday. We arrived Friday night, As always the kids were excited to get to hang out with their cousins all weekend. Saturday the men worked outside and raked up all the pine needles. This is a fire safety requirement. While they worked outside, the women worked on deep cleaning the inside. By lunch time everyone was done, so a few of us headed down to Sonora to catch a showing of the new Solo movie. Sunday after a short spiritual message, some of the adults and older kids went shooting. Then after lunch everyone headed over to Pinecrest for a short hike to the Damn. I opted to just walk around the lake with Colin instead of the hike.
Monday morning we got up  and ready to head to New Melones Lake for a day on the new boat. It was lots of fun. And we were all tired by the time we got home that night.
