Spring Ball

Baseball season has officially started. Nathan is now in the AA division and not sure I am liking how much more competitive it is. I kind of feel like everyone is so worried about winning that they forget these are  7-9yr old kids and they are still learning. Nathan is struggling a bit because he really loves playing  but is among the youngest and least experienced on the team. Which leaves in the outfield all the time and he just wants to be able to tryout all the different positions. Here's to hoping this season doesn't ruin his love of the game.
I signed Brady up for T-ball and it is just as entertaining ad you would expect. Just imagine and hour of watching a bunch of 4-5yr olds all diving for the ball at the same time. it is seriously the best.

Last Saturday was opening ceremonies and their first games. I thought I was busy last year but with two kids in Little league I am a bit overwhelmed, especially since Nathan's coach feels the need to have them practice every day. Here's to not having a life for the next 3 months.

Latest happenings

Brady looks forward to getting his Koala Crate every month. Once it arrives he insist on completing all the activities in one day. January's activity was all about Rainbows. He got to create his own rainbow tie-died tote.

Colin is just like Brady and always asking for snacks. On this day he wasn't patient enough for me to put some snacks in a bowl and instead grabbed the whole giant bag of veggie straws and carried all over the house.
This February Dave and I spent a couple days in Disneyland kid free and it was a blast. I mean I love taking my kids to Disneyland but there is a freedom that comes from experiencing the park kid free. It was a nice birthday/anniversary trip for us.

I just love the park at night.

Colin's favorite part of the day is when we walk over to pick up Nathan from school. He loves "riding " his bike even though it means our 5 minute trip now takes 25 minutes. This kid would spend all day outdoors if I let him. I love that he is so excited for outdoor time especially since it is such a battle to convince the other two to play out back.

Christmas Time

This year we had our Christmas Eve party with the Dickson family. We had a great time with family and the boys just love being with so many cousins.

All the younger Grand and great grand kids always but on a nativity play.

Colin wanted nothing to do with it but the other two were excited to be a donkey and cow. For some reason the animals are always the most popular costumes.

The Whole Group

Time for the fish pond gifts from Grandma and Grandpa.

The boys definitely look forward to this tradition every year.

Ready for bed in their new Christmas jammies.

December so far

Colin thinks it is the greatest thing ever to brush his teeth! Every time I ask the other two to brush their teeth he rushes into the bathroom so he can grab his own brush.

This months Koala Crate preschool box was all about baking. It was the perfect box for Brady since he already loves helping me in the kitchen. We learned about  measurements and color and even made some banana muffins. He even got his very own chef's hat.

First activity we added different amounts of colored water to glasses to great all the colors of the rainbow.
Activity two create your own bubble water. Both boys loved this and these homemade bubbles are way better then the store bought kind and so easy.
                                                    Finally making his Banana muffins.

                                                           yum!

annual visit from the firemen at Grandma's Grand kid Christmas party. As always the boys loved donating their toy to the firemen who then let them go for a short ride in the fire truck. Nathan loved it, Brady on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the truck and ended up just watching the other kids go on rides.

This year we started a new Christmas tradition and visited Bass Pro Shop to see Santa.
Colin wanted Nothing to do with being near Santa.
Nathan having a conversation with the "real" Santa.
Brady wouldn't sit on Santa's lap but he did have a nice talk with him. I love watching these magical moments.
