Spring Break

A few months ago the boys asked Grandma and Papa when they were going to come visit. They were very excited when Grandma and Papa showed up Easter Sunday ready to spend the week with us. Since all the other schools in the area didn't have the week off we found ourselves fully scheduled with baseball games. The boys enjoyed spending the mornings hanging out with Papa and Grandma then our evenings were spent watching games. It was great having them around for a few days and the boys are already looking forward to when we visit them this summer.

NERF gun wars with Papa!

we didn't get a chance to color eggs for Easter so Papa and Nathan picked out a Lava egg coloring kit and the boys had a great time watching the color expand around the eggs. If your kids love science this was a great twist on the standard egg dye. The eggs were placed into dyed vinegar and then a powder(baking soda) was added.

We all went on bike ride around the neighborhood. Colin insisted on riding his bike too instead of riding in the trailer.

We had 3 nights of baseball games while my parents were here. The boys sure do love playing and my mom got some great shots.

Easter 2019

Brady's class on the last day of school before Easter and Spring break.

We spent Saturday April 20th at Grandma Dickson's Easter party and Egg hunt. The kids had a blast in the jump house and spending time with all the cousins. So much so that we ended staying until after dinner.

All the younger cousins lined up and ready to go. Colin was super excited for the egg hunt. I love his grin here.

The older cousins ready to start.

April fun

Nathan was invited by the local community Cub scout troop to join them for their space derby. We have been so busy with baseball that I found myself shaping and putting his rocket together the day before. He then was able to spray paint it gold and it was ready to go. His rocket ended up placed 2nd in the the bear den. Not bad for a last minute project.

On April 17th I joined my SILs Brianna, Randalynn, and Aunt Jan to see the Play Hamilton in San Fransisco. We went to a matinee performance and the cast was amazing. I hadn't really heard any of the music before but knew that it is very popular. It was so much different then any musicals I have seen before and I loved mix of history and rap. Definitely worth seeing at least once. After the play we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was a great day out.
