Since summer has officially started we have been busy have fun and enjoying that last of the time we have to been near Kerri and her family. They are moving to Vegas this weekend and we will sure miss having them close by but are excited for future visits to the area.
Here are a few of the things we have been up to:
We spent one hot afternoon at the Whale park and played in the splash pad.
The boys had a great time taking swim lessons together this year!
Just hanging out with Aidan and Liam, having way to much fun getting each other soaked.
Nathan having fun driving one of his girls around.
Another trip to the beach. This time there was a small river that Nathan loved playing in.
We had a great time at Gilroy Gardens with Aidan, Liam, Brooklyn, Cambria, and Addison.
Last Friday I took the boys up to Benicia so they could hang out with their cousins one last time. Adam volunteered to watch them while Kerri and I went out to lunch. She took me to her favorite sushi place and it was so good, yum! I already want to go back for more.
Last Saturday our church put on a free show and shine car show. We had fun checking out all the cool cars.
Brady and Nathan with Grandpa Randy's Truck
With Uncle Dennis' Car
This weekend is the Annual Saddle Horse show & Rodeo. Yesterday they started the festivities with a parade down main street. Brady was enthralled with the parade and was even reaching for some the big trucks and horses.

9 months
Brady officially turned 9 months old a couple weeks ago and I feel as if in just a few short weeks he has grown so much. He is looking less like a baby and boy is he active. Sometime during our Disneyland trip he stopped doing the army crawl and now that he does a real crawl it is almost impossible to keep him out of trouble. He is so curious and is always trying to get into things he shouldn't be playing with. He spends most of his time racing after Nathan or pulling him self up trying to grab anything in reach.
We still struggle with sleep. Brady will go a few days where he sleeps through the night. On those days he wakes up between 5:30 and 6:30. Looks like I have an early riser. Which can be rough for someone like me we hates mornings. On a few rare occasions he has let me sleep in until 7. This good sleep usually only last 3 to 5 days and once I start feeling a little rested and that maybe we are on a better schedule he starts waking up in the middle of the night. And then he usually does that 5 or more days in a row. Only letting me 3 to 4 hr stretches making me once again so tired I feel like I am loosing my mind. I really am so ready for a more regular sleep schedule.
Brady is a super good eater and loves his solids, so much so that he would rather eat with his fingers then nurse or take a bottle. About a month ago I was only nursing him a couple times a day and then he would have bottles the rest of the day. Then I started giving him a bottle at bed time instead of nursing so that Dave and I could go on dates. And then a couple weeks ago we were at a stage were nursing was no longer working for the two of us. The chewing on me with his teeth and the distracted eating just made it more stressful to continue and now that he is fully weaned everyone is in a better place.
At his 9 month well check Brady weigh 19lbs 7oz and was 28 1/4 in long.
Brady is always so happy and excited about every chance he gets to play. He recently has discovered the water sink outside and always is trying to get outside so he can get wet.
I love all of his facial expressions. He is such a character to have around!

The beach again!
One can't get enough of the beach right! Especially when the weather is so perfect. Last Friday we met our friends the Vreekens at the beach. The weather was amazing. Sunny and warm. I am so glad that I got to spend some more time with Cheris and Paul and their kids. I do love it when friends come to visit.

Memorial Day 2013
For Memorial day weekend we decided last minute to spend the weekend up at the family cabin. We spent most of the day driving on Saturday but once we got there it was nice to disconnect from technology for a while. One really great thing about Saturday is that I got to visit with one of my dear friends from Rexburg. Audra's Family is from the same area as the cabin and she just happened to be in town, yeah! It was so great getting to spend the evening talking, I sure did miss all the times I use to just hang out at her place and talk. Nathan also had a great time catching up with her girls, good times!
Sunday we spent relaxing around the cabin. I was able to spend time reading on a book. I started Perfect Scoundrels Saturday evening and had it almost done by Sunday night. It was a great read and I probably would have finished it if I had let myself stay up late. It was one of those books that I have a hard time putting down because I really want to know how it all will work out.If you haven't tried out The Heist Society series you should really check them out.
Monday morning we headed to New Melones for some boating. This time we were joined by my sister and her family and two other friends we had from Rexburg. Jereme, Holley and family now live nearby and Paul, Cheris and family were down visiting the area for a week. When we first got to the lake the water was warm and the sun was shining. But the weather quickly turned cold and windy and it even rained for a short time. Most everyone was ready to leave after lunch. I still hadn't had a chance to wake surf and I really wanted to since I didn't get to at all last summer. So we stayed out just long enough for Adam and I to surf. Then we pulled the tube back to the boat ramp with Adam and Liam on.

Brady and Liam with Kerri
I can still get up even when the water is choppy.
One tired boy.
