Snow Trip

A couple weekends ago we invited a few friends to join us at the cabin for some time in the snow. Little did we know how much snow that cabin had gotten this year. I have never seen that much snow there before and it was amazing. There have been times when the cabin often got that much snow but that was 15+ years ago. The driveway up to the cabin made the perfect sledding hill and the boys spent hours outside enjoying the snow. Just taking short breaks for hot chocolate. It snowed the whole time we were there and by the time we were ready to leave Sunday morning there was 3-4 feet of fresh snow. On stop of the 3+feet already there when we arrived. Of course the snow plow didn't come by that morning so it was quite the chore to dig the car out and make it up the hill and back on to the highway.

Gallo Center Field trip

February 5th, I joined Brady's class on a field trip to the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto to watch The Very Hungry Caterpillar show.. This show used puppets to bring to life four of Eric Carle's stories: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly, and the Very Hungry Caterpillar. They did a really great job and the kids loved it.

December

I'm not sure what happened beside life has kept us busy, but I missed the rest of November and all December so here is a quick catch up of the past couple months.

My Sweet Grandma passed away on November 8 at the age of 91. She would have celebrated her 92 on December 19. My Grandparents were married for 68 years and wold have celebrated 69yrs this December. We traveled to Idaho for her funeral  at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. I am so glad we were able to go and remember her life and spend time with my Grandpa.
