Fall 2019

While we were at the Reunions we got an offer on our home. We had put it on the market in June because we strongly felt it was the right time to move the family back to Hollister. And then nothing happened. Only one family even came to look at the property. After 2 months are started thinking maybe it wasn't the right time. But then we got the call while at the cabin that someone was interested and and willing to give us full asking price. this was definitely a blessing since at the time the market wasn't great and prices were actually dropping. we spent 30 more days at the home packing up. to keep the boys on a routine they started the school year in Santa Nella. Then 2 1/2 weeks later on Friday August 30 later we moved in with Dave's parents while waiting for the renters to move out of the house we bought. the house belonged to Dave's parents and they had been using as a rental after moving to their new home 4 years ago. the renters really didn't want to move and we ended up staying with my Inlaws until the end of November.
First day of 5th grade for Nathan and 2nd grade for Brady.
One last birthday party with Brady's friends from school. We took them to the bowling/arcade and played some laser tag.

A few weeks after moving to Hollister I signed all the boys up for gymnastics classes.  the Older two joined the Spartan training class which includes fitness and conditioning plus games. Colin joined the Kangaroos gymnastics class for 4-5 yr olds and has loved every minute. He calls it his Parkour class and looks forward to it every week.

On September 26, Dave's brother Taylor got married. The kids sure had a great time dancing at Taylor and Maria's wedding.

The next day we went to a Giants game. It sure was cold but everyone had a great time.

Family Reunions summer 2019

I have fallen way behind on these post. In an attempt to keep everything chronological I waited to post the rest of our summer until I had photos to go with them. So the next few post will be a quick catch up of the 8-9months.

July 27th was the start of back to back reunions with Dave's family. Both reunions were held at the cabin. It was a fun but exhausting week. The first part of the week was spent with the Griffith side. We had fun hanging with cousins, boating, campfire, and skits.

The Griffith and Rice families with grandpa Keys.(Randy's Biological dad). It was a pretty special gathering and we even got to meet Randy's half brother and his son.
Grandpa Keys with his grand kids.

We had a great time at New Melones spending time on the lake boating.

Pinecrest, skits, and S'mores around the campfire.

Wednesday started the Dickson family reunion. Wednesday night our family moved to the campgrounds at Pinecrest lake. We spent the next couple days camping, playing at Pinecrest, an Amazing race activity, and horseback riding. We sure had a blast but were more then ready for our own beds Friday night.

First time taking Brady and Nathan on a trail ride. Their were so many of us that they ran low on horses and asked for an experienced rider to ride one of their more stubborn horses. Since i was the most experienced in the group I ended up on her. She must have realized I knew what I was doing because she didn't get me any problems. Colin was too young so Dave stayed behind at the lake with him.

Aunt Debbie created the best Amazing Race activity for all the grand kids. It was so much fun.

                                                          My second place team.
