Ten on Tuesday
1. It has been a couple weeks. have really been enjoying Nathan! I just love the age he is at now. he definitely does not want to stay still anymore and is all over the place. He is doing a lot of standing on the furniture and will use it as a support to walk closer to me.
2.He has finally decided that he doesn't like his baby food anymore and refuses to eat it most of the time. I have been trying all other foods but have been having a hard time finding items he won't throw off the high chair. His favorite foods are oatmeal and yogurt, he always wants more. I also find it strange that he won't drink juice, all he wants in his cup is formula. Its funny once he realizes that it doesn't have milk he will drop it.
3. A few weeks ago we decided to become a one car family. Dave has been talking about getting rid of his truck for a while since once it was out of warranty we would not be able to afford to fix it. So we decided to trade it and the yukon in for a 2007 Suburban. It is very nice. Right now my favorite feature is the remote start.
4. I went in a couple weeks ago to a dermatologist to check a spot on my arm. He was worried about it so he perform a biopsy of the area. I almost passed out when they injected the lidocaine under my skin. I didn't think anything would bother me because I deal with so many needles and blood at work. The nurse noticed I was pale and had me lay down after I mentioned how hot and dizzy I was feeling.
5. Got the biopsy results back today and it ended up being basal cell carcinoma. Which sounds much worse then it is. It is the most common type of skin cancer but does not spread to other areas. I just have to go in and get the rest removed and then they with send it in to make sure they removed all the bad cells. I have to admit though it kind of freaked me out when they first told me. I guess I will have to watch my skin closely now, the joys of fair skin.
6. Finally have Chief looking really good and healthy. For a long time he was much to skinny and even started losing weight. I put him on a special diet for active dogs and have even been able to cut back on the amount that I use to feed him.
7. I have decide to take a break from facebook since we got a virus on our computer on sunday. I am pretty sure it was attached to a message I received from a friend. It was real nasty and even protected itself. It would shut down programs or block websites that it knew could disable it. We eventually had to have an online repair service remove it and fix the computer for us. It is called the personal security virus and pops up saying it has detected hundreds of virus and you must down load the personal security program to remove the virus. It would pop up every time you tried to do anything and freeze the computer when you tried to shut it down. It was awful!
8. The weather is finally starting to warm up here and the snow is melting. I am so ready for the spring.
9. The one problem is Frodo my escape artist can once again get out of the fence now that the snow has melted in spots. He also managed to chew himself out of the chain link run we were keeping him in during the day.
10. Hope you all have a great week!

The Adventures of a growing boy
Nathan and I have been having all kinds of fun since he has started crawling. He is so curious and once he decides that he wants something it is all he will focus on. He even seems to know when I am trying to hide something from him.
Bath time fun!
For the first time this Saturday Nathan discovered that he can have even more fun if he splashes the water. He just loves his baths and gets so excited when he hears the tub filling up.

After discovering how fun it was to splash water I couldn't keep him away from the dog's water dishes. Every time I put him down in the other room he was crawl as fast as possible to the water. As he approached the dishes he would just start laughing and giggling so hard it was just too cute. I think it may be time for a video camera. I must have moved him away from these over a dozen times. He just gets so focused on one thing there is no distracting him.

He has also decided that it is no fun playing with his toys, he would much rather be helping mom out in the kitchen.
He is going through a new stage where he is no longer interested in his own food. Last night after feeding him I let him down to play so Dave and I could eat our dinner and of course even though he had acted full and uninterested in food all he wanted was some of our dinner. He loved the mashed potatoes!
